They’d known each other as friends in high school, and when they went on their first date 10 years later, MaryKate said she’d never felt so comfortable and at home.

A few years later and their Shelter Harbor Golf Club Wedding in Charleston, Rhode Island was a stunning picture of just that. MaryKate got ready in her parents beach home, Mike and his groomsmen started at the Shelter Harbor Golf Club, and from the time they saw each other at the end of the aisle to the end of the evening, kindness and the feeling of “home” couldn’t be separated from this day.

MK tucked her great aunt’s blue hand embroidered handkerchief, into the bumble bee pearl clutch her mom gifted her (her maiden name is Bourdon, which is French for “bumble bee”, show me a cuter bag, I dare you). Charms with photographs of her Grandparents were added to her bouquet. She chose wild flowers for their Shelter Harbor Wedding and included all of her nieces and nephews in the day. Mike, a US Marine, wore a sword and his dress blues before changing into a tux for the remainder of the evening.

We zoomed around on a golf cart as these two braved the rain, wind and October chill for portraits along the Shelter Harbor Golf course, spent time with family and friend and ended this breathtaking Shelter Harbor Wedding Day dancing into the night with the incredible band, The Sulls.
