Florence Elopement Photography

Guys when I tell you the Antelux Firenze apartment couldn’t have been more perfect for an elopement in Florence, Italy…We were yards away from the Duomo, and when Johnnie and Jared went out to the balcony it felt like they were dancing on the rooftops of the most beautiful architecture in Florence.

We spent the day with these two-crazy in love, beautiful, adventurous humans- strolling along the Arno River, catching taxis and watching the sunset from the Piazzale Michelangelo.

It felt like coming home.

This is the land where 8 years ago, I gained 15 pasta lbs, fell in love with people, and learned how to notice and create space for the hearts of strangers to show up on my camera. I spent hours on end walking the streets asking people of all ages if I could photograph them. I was invited into homes and to dinner, and saw tears and wild smiles when strangers heard how beautiful they were. In the middle of a busy city, I learned how to pause and use photography to mirror hearts.

And this adventure with Johnnie and Jared was a joy.
